I'm Getting Better At This!

So,
Today I was working on hanging a message board in a hallway at the castle, and it's a big sheet of metal painted white that they are going to stick announcements to using magnets. All that we had to do was pre-drill some holes in the brick, put some plastic plug in it, and screw the sheet to the wall. Once again I underestimate the power of unpredictability. We pre drilled some holes, and as we were doing the last one, and it was good for the first half [c'mon Justin get to the point!]...it takes a while to drill through metal and brick....and all of the sudden there was an explosion and a small fireball came out of the wall! We were fine...but very confused. We came to the conclusion that the metal got too hot and it sparked. A couple of minutes later we opened the door to go to the basement and realized that the light-switch didn't work and upon further investigation [which involved looking about 10 feet in front of us] found that the emergency lights were on...yeah! It turns out that we drilled right through a wire, and yes, it was 240! The drill is fine, and the lights work, but they're still going to call an electician to come and fix the wires that probably don't have a coating anymore...and yes, we are going to delay the hanging of the message board.

Class was really good. We talked about how smart God is and how Bible has sooo much information that is just being discovered today; but was written a couple of thousand years ago!

I'm still now sure where i'm going for outreach...but we should learn our options in about two weeks and I'll be sure to put something up here about it. I might be going on a local outreach tomorrow so you guys can be in prayer about that.

I've come to the conclusion that I love toasted bread. [I just thought I'd share that]

Tyler will be here in one week!!! I'm stoked! He'll be living about 1 minute away from me.

Joel is doing well. He's picking up German pretty fast.

If you guys have ANY questions about stuff over here feel free to ask.

And on that note I'll say goodnight....er.......good afternoon?

Habari Justin,
Trying to figure why you are trying to learn Spanish while visiting in Germany. That's kind of like drilling a hole into a 220 volt wire and thinking the drill was to hot. Hope DTS is progressing well. Perhaps your brother can help you with any homework. Missed you at the Thursday Tanzania nigt. Your entry on YouTube was interesting and a great sound track. Was that you singing the songs? Are prayers are with you.

Hey Justin, I am not sure, but I think that your second blog may have been from Micaiah. We love you and miss you very much, but are os glad that you have this opportunity to serve Christ this way, and to draw closer. Please let Tyler know about the ride. Also, let him know if he needs a sleeping bag...soon so he knows if he needs to buy one....LOVE, mom

BEEN THINKIN' bout THOUGHT you posted bout' Jesus being perhaps being a man of means!

Nah, just fun speculation but nothing worth holding onto. Besides, what would it change if Jesus was a total millionare?

1. One in the same in my opinion. It's just as likely to say that there could've been a major food shortage in the area and, even if they had enough money to purchase food for 5,000 people, they knew that there wasn't 5,000 units of food available at that time. So, they were like..WHAT?!?!?!??!? WHERE YOU GOING TO GET THAT MUCH FOOD FROM WHEN HALF THE PEEPS LIVING HEAR CAN'T FIND ENOUGH FOOD?

2. Simple....avoid all speculation regarding "the eye of the needle!" Hahahaha, seriously though, I can't handle any more talk about this verse! For some reason, it causes so much controversy. The best is the argument that the eye of the needle was a reference to a type of sheep gate that was used in Judah during the time of Jesus...blah blah blah blah blah. Anyways, to answer this and go against my philosophy, I don't think the disciples were seeing the issue ( i.e. of not getting through) from a "socio-economic" perspective. I think they saw it from a practical-take...Jesus equating entrance into heaven with that of a human passing through the eye of a needle (sheep gate or not!!). Remember, these were the same disciples that often missed the true meaning of Jesus' words at that time (given the lack of the Holy Spirit to assist) and often hung on one or two pieces of Jesus' statements, not seeing the bigger picture. I guess you'd say "typical guy?"

3. This one's classic. There is no way to tell how the crew got their coin, or what specifically they needed Judas to keep track of aas treasurer. There was no online banking back then. I'm sure keeping track of funds was a total nightmare. And, given that Jesus would've been totally full of integrity and not corrupt in any way, he would've probably accounted for the last penny lost. Besides, maybe Judas had to be the treasurer cause that was in the design of betrayal? I mean, wouldn't it be wierd if he was the Team Butcher and followed the crew around with bloody meat and a rusty cleaver? I don't think the betrayal would've worked.

love you, now I'll go read the next one...:))))) Colette
